Hotel Nepomuk Bamberg, Bamberg

The hotel is located right on the river, offering fabulous views down the river. It is clean, quiet, and comfortable but lacks a fridge with chilled beverages. The service was very friendly and helpful, though it could be more informative. The location is amazing, in the heart of Bamberg with picturesque views of the water. The dining experience is delightful, with fresh, handmade breads and international dishes. The facilities are fantastic, especially the view over the river.

The hotel offers excellent value for money with small yet cozy rooms, but they can feel a bit like a cage at times. The service is top-notch, with the staff being very helpful and accommodating, though the bathrooms are very modern and functional. The location is ideal right in the heart of the old city, allowing for easy exploration, but keep in mind it's down a narrow street. The dining experience is in a beautiful sunny room, but ordering separately can be pricey, not including an all-in buffet.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious with excellent facilities typical of German hotels, although I had to open a window in December due to overheating even after turning off the heaters. The service was top-notch with exceedingly friendly and helpful staff throughout, including securing bike storage overnight for us. The location was stunning, right on the river in beautiful Bamberg, close to the old town and the Christmas market. The dining experience was enjoyable with delicious food in a sunny room overlooking the river, but somewhat pricey. Overall, a fantastic location with a few minor drawbacks.
